I just wanted to review this so others who buy it can learn from my mistakes. I got the kit around 5:45pm and by that time I only had about an hr left of daylight. Anyway, when you first get the kit, read over the instructions a few times. Honestly, the instructions suck. It's confusing. Having said that, after you spend a few hours reading it over, it will make sense somewhat. Obviously, get your vehicle's wiring diagram ahead of time and locate the wires and remove panels, steering column, etc even before you begin the install. Saves a lot of time. Most of you will need a security bypass module so be prepared to order that (transponder vehicles [Fords] need an extra key placed inside of the bypass module itself). Other than that, the RS 7G2 has a lot of features and room to expand if you want to control more accessories, etc etc. As of now, I give it a 4/5 so long as I get everything working tomorrow. Look out for an update real soon!UPDATE 9/22/2011 I gave it a few good tries but I could not install this kit myself. I've done tons of electrical work, accessories, lights, etc on my 04 Explorer but this didn't work out. Can't blame the kit itself, however, I went to a local installer and got a different remote start kit installed today. Most shops won't install kits they do not sell ...
